"Rigidity for functional inequalities under symmetrisation"

Abstract.
In this talk we present some results we recently obtained about functional inequalities under symmetrisation. In particular, we are interested in the understanding of rigidity, that is, the situation in which the only extremals of the inequality are symmetric.
First, we present the rigidity problem for Steiner’s inequality for the anisotropic perimeter, for which our main contribution consists in giving conditions under which rigidity in the anisotropic setting is equivalent to rigidity in the Euclidean setting.
Lastly, we present some preliminary results and ideas about an on going project regarding the rigidity problem for Pólya–Szegő inequality under spherical symmetrisation.
